Privacy Policy

We keep the data set narrow on purpose.

• Account info. If you sign in, our auth provider stores your email (and a display name if you set one). We do not store your password.
• Guest sessions. If you log a round without signing up, we mint an anonymous account so we can enforce one-round-per-day and our anti-abuse limits. It is tied to the browser session, not to you personally.
• Rounds you log. Course, date, tee time, end time / duration, whether a ranger was present, how busy the course was, and group size.
• Basic technical signals. Standard request data (IP, user agent, timestamps) used to prevent spam and abuse.

• Compute community pace estimates for each course.
• Show trends like busiest day, morning vs. afternoon, and confidence ranges.
• Enforce the one-round-per-user-per-day rule and detect suspicious submissions.
• Operate, maintain, and improve the app.

You can log rounds as a guest. Guests are capped at five rounds before we ask you to create an account so your history can sync across devices and earn badges. Upgrading keeps your existing rounds.

We use local storage to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

We do not sell your data. Individual rounds are visible only to you and to site admins for moderation. Aggregated, de-identified pace stats are shown publicly on course pages.

You can request account and round deletion at any time by emailing hello@pacepatrol.golf. Aggregated stats that no longer identify you may be retained.

Pace Patrol is intended for users 13 and older.

If we materially change this policy, we will update the date at the top of the page.
